Whether you are hosting a local sports event, a community café, or a private gathering, the Uig Community Hall offers a versatile and welcoming space for everyone. To ensure your event runs smoothly and the building remains in top condition for the next user, we have provided a comprehensive guide covering everything from key collection to kitchen use.

Event Preparation & Guidance

Planning an event requires attention to detail. Our Arrival and Exiting Guidance document is an essential resource for all hall hirers. Hiring Rates & Charges

We offer flexible hiring options to suit everything from weekly club meetings to large-scale community events. Please identify your user category to determine your rate:

  • Regular User: Ongoing weekly or monthly club bookings.
  • Local / Concession: Individual residents or non-profit groups within the Uig area.
  • Other: Commercial entities or non-local users.

Hourly & Small Event Rates

Hire Type @ Regular / Local Rate

Sports OR Small Hall: £10 / hour
Both Halls (Combined): £15 / hour
Concerts / Food Night:s £10 / hour
Child’s Party: £10 / hour

Hire Type @ Other / Commercial Rate

Sports OR Small Hall: £15 / hour
Both Halls (Combined): £20 / hour
Child’s Party: £15 / hour

Large Events & Functions

All event bookings include the full day of the event, plus a half-day before for setup (from 3pm) and a half-day after for cleanup (until 3pm).

  • Events with Alcohol: Local: £250 | Other: £350 | Regular Club: £100
  • Events (No Alcohol): Local: £150 | Other: £200 | Regular Club: £100
  • Whole Building (Day Rate): Local: £100 | Other: £150 (Applies where pre/post setup is not required).
  • Note: A £50 refundable deposit is required for all alcohol-related events.

Markets & Sales

  • Market Days (Multi-user): £10 per table (Local) / £20 per table (Other).
  • Single Commercial User: £100 per day (includes setup from 3pm the previous day).

Community & Miscellaneous

  • Polling Day: £250 (48-hour period).
  • Community Support: No charge for Woodland Trust meetings, Community Beach Cleans, or Shoebox Filling events (up to 48 hrs).
