Uig Skye Community

Uig’s strength has always come from its people, and the community’s future grows from the hands that shape it. The Village Hall, the Community Trust, and the Community Council each play a vital role in keeping the village active, listened to, and well supported. When more residents take part—whether by sharing ideas, lending a little time, or joining a project—the whole area benefits. These groups give us spaces to gather, plan, celebrate, and solve problems together, ensuring that Uig remains a resilient and welcoming place to live. If you care about the village and the land around it, getting involved is one of the most meaningful ways to help it thrive.

Community Trust

Our remit is to advance community development in all its forms from managing community land, regeneration projects through to local heritage and history.

Local Groups

The various communities in and around Uig form a vibrant network of interests and experiences including many aspects  of island life.
