Uig Community Hall

A community asset since the sixties, the Hall was extended in 1990 and has recently been refurbished to make it more accessible to the wider community. Since the refurbishments to the hall it has hosted numerous gatherings and events including:-
- VE Day celebrations that included photographs and pen portraits of all Uig’s ‘local heroes’ who saw service in the First and Second World Wars.
- A fund-raising lunch for Cancer Research, organised by the family of a much-loved Uig resident following his death.
- The annual Uig Gala at which people were able to make the most of the adjacent sports field, woodland and beach that are unique selling points of Uig Community Hall and its location.
- A series of North End Jam music events that attracted musicians, singers and listeners from the local community, farther afield on Skye and even a number of international participants.
